Chili Cheese Fries

One of the most popular appetizers just got a flavor boost! These Chili Cheese Fries by Baking Beauty are a zesty, savory and cheesy combination that are melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Ingredients

  • 4 Russet Potatoes

  • Vegetable Oil for Frying

  • 3 Teaspoons Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning

  • 1 Can Condensed Cheese Soup

  • 1/4 Cup Whole Milk

  • 2 Teaspoons Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning

  • 1 Sweet Onion, Diced

  • 2 Pounds Lean Ground Beef

  • 2 Cans Petite Diced Tomatoes

  • 8 Ounces Tomato Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste

  • 1 Box Tony’s Original Chili Seasoning Mix (or Mild if Preferred)

  • 2 Cups Beef Broth

  • 2 Cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese

  • Clear

Directions

Making the Fries:

  1. Slice potatoes into 1/2-inch pieces.
  2. Soak in water for about 1 hour, then rinse in cold water.
  3. Heat oil in pan to 300°F. Fry the potatoes for 5-7 minutes. Remove from oil.
  4. Increase temperature to 400°F and fry for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drain fries on paper towel and immediately sprinkle with 3 teaspoons of Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning.

Making the Cajun Cheese Sauce:

  1. Combine condensed cheese soup, whole milk and 2 teaspoons Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning in a small saucepan.
  2. Simmer for about 3 minutes.

Making the Chili:

  1. Cook onion and ground beef until softened and browned.
  2. Add in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Tony’s Original Chili Seasoning Mix (or Mild) and beef broth.
  3. Simmer for about 30 minutes.

Putting it All Together:

  1. Place French fries in a casserole dish, then top with Cajun cheese sauce, chili and shredded cheddar cheese. Enjoy!
