Bite into this flavorful Catfish Po Boy recipe by @firehousegrub! With crispy fried catfish and a creamy Cajun remoulade, this lunch staple is ready to satisfy your cravings.


  • One box Tony Chachere’s fish fry

  • One box Tony Chachere’s hush puppy mix

  • 4 catfish filets

  • 4 sandwich rolls

  • 2eggs

  • Milk

  • 1 lemon

  • Lettuce

  • Tomato

  • Remoulade ingredients:

  • Hot sauce

  • 1 cup mayo

  • 2 tbsp relish

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tsp hot sauce

  • 1 1/2 tbsp minced garlic

  • Juice from 1 lemon

  • 1 tsp Tony Chachere’s original seasoning

  • Clear


  1. Combine remoulade ingredients in a bowl. Stir to combine and place in the fridge.
  2. Soak catfish filets in 1 cup of milk, 1 egg, juice from 1/2 a lemon, and 1 tsp of hot sauce.
  3. Preheat frying oil in a pot or skillet.
  4. Coat fish filets in Tony’s fish fry mixture.
  5. Make hush puppy mix according to box instructions.
  6. Fry fish filets until golden brown. Remove and drain grease.
  7. Dollop about 1 tbs of hush puppy mix into grease. Fry until golden brown. Remove and drain grease.
  8. Assemble sandwich using remoulade. Enjoy!
