Kitchen Tip : Vietnamese Caramelized Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Shrimp (About 16 Large Shrimp with or without Shell)

  • 2 Teaspoons Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning

  • 3 Teaspoons Sugar

  • 4 Stalks Green Onion, Cut Into 1-Inch Lengths

  • 2 Tablespoons Garlic, Minced

  • 2 Tablespoons Shallots, Minced

  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Heat a nonstick frying pan on high heat and add vegetable oil.
  2. Add garlic and shallots and stir frequently until golden brown. Don’t let it burn!
  3. Add shrimp and sprinkle sugar and Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning on top. Toss the shrimp and mix well to evenly coat the shrimp. Spread the shrimp out into a single layer and cook each side for about 2 minutes.
  4. Once shrimp is red/pink and opaque, add green onions. Toss again and remove from heat.
  5. Serve with hot steaming rice. Enjoy!
