Shrimp Creole

It doesn’t get more classic than this Shrimp Creole recipe by chef @michaelgulotta! It’s easy-to-make, filled with traditional flavor, and perfect for family dinner night.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Shrimp, Peeled and Deveined

  • Tony’s 30-minute Seafood Marinade

  • 1 Box of Tony’s Étouffée Dinner Mix

  • 1 Can (15 Ounces) Crushed San Marzano Tomatoes

  • 1 Cup Milk

  • 1 Onion, Diced

  • 1 Bell Pepper, Diced

  • 3 Celery Stalks, Diced

  • 4 Cloves Garlic, Minced

  • 1 Handful Basil, Roughly Chopped

  • 2 Cups Okra, Sliced

  • 2 Bay Leaves

  • Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning, to Taste

  • Chopped Green Onion and Parsley for Garnish

  • Cooked Rice for Serving

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Toss shrimp with Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning.
  2. Add a drizzle of oil to a large skillet or enamel pan and sauté shrimp for about 1.5 min per side. Set aside.
  3. Add butter to same pan used for shrimp, stir in onion and bell pepper. Allow to cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add in minced garlic and celery and cook down for about 2 more minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Pour in crushed tomatoes and allow to cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Add in Tony’s Étouffée Dinner Mix and milk, stir to combine.
    Add two drops Tony’s Pepper Sauce and fresh basil, stir.
  1. Add shrimp into sauce and stir, taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Remove From heat.
  2. Add cooked rice to a plate or bowl, top with Shrimp Creole and garnish with fresh basil.
