Cornish Hen & Creole Rice

“Boom, dinner is served!” Creole For The Soul says this meal is packed with flavor and so simple to whip up thanks to Tony’s rice dinner mix, marinade and seasoning.


  • 1 Cornish Hen

  • 1 Box Tony’s Creole Roasted Chicken Rice Dinner Mix

  • Tony’s 30-Minute Chicken Marinade, to Taste

  • Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning, to Taste

  • Olive Oil

  • Clear


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Rub Cornish hen all over with the Tony’s 30-Minute Chicken Marinade, then cover in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Take the hen out of the refrigerator and remove the plastic wrap.
  4. Coat the hen in olive oil and then season generously with Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning.
  5. Transfer the hen to a roasting pan and place in the oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the thickest part of the breast registers an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Cook Tony’s Creole Roasted Chicken Rice Dinner Mix according to package directions and set aside until hen is finished cooking.
  7. Remove hen from oven and let rest for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Serve with rice and enjoy!
