This popular Frito Pie by Baking Beauty is full of the traditional flavors of cheese, savory beef and corn chips, and now has even more punch thanks to Tony’s Chili Seasoning Mix. Try it as a hearty meal or as tailgating bite!

  • 1 Pound Lean Ground Beef

  • 1 Onion, Diced

  • 1 Can (14 1/2 Ounces) Petite Diced Tomatoes

  • 1 Can (15 Ounces) Pinto Beans

  • 1 Box Tony’s Mild Chili Seasoning Mix (or Tony’s Original Chili Seasoning Mix)

  • 1 Cup Low Sodium Beef Broth

  • 2 Cups Cheddar Cheese, Shredded and Divided

  • 1 Bag Corn Chips, Divided

  • Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream and Jalapeños for Garnish

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a 9×13 pan with nonstick foil and spray with cooking spray. Add about half of the corn chips to the bottom of the pan and top with about 1 cup of cheese.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion. Cook until the onion is softened and the beef is no longer pink.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, beans, Tony’s Chili Mix and broth. Bring to a boil.
  5. Continue simmering for around 15-20 minutes until thickened.
  6. Pour into the prepared pan. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until bubbly.
  8. Garnish with more cheese, sour cream, jalapeños and corn chips, if desired.
