Air Fried Cajun Salmon Gyros with Feta Tzatziki Sauce

Known for its spiced meat in a pita-type bread, gyros are a popular lunch and dinner option. For a Cajun twist, @mandajesspanda created these Air Fried Cajun Salmon Gyros with Feta Tzatziki Sauce that are full of savory, creamy and Creole flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound of 6-Ounce Fresh Salmon, Cut into Bite-Sized Cubes

  • 3 Teaspoons Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning, or to Taste

  • 2 Teaspoons Tony’s 30-Minute Seafood Marinade

  • 1 Teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 1 Tablespoon Greek Yogurt

  • 5 Cloves Garlic, Minced

  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder

  • 1 Teaspoon Smoke Paprika

  • 1 Teaspoon Dill Weed

  • For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 3 Tablespoons Feta Cheese

  • 1 Teaspoon Tony’s BOLD Creole Seasoning, or to Taste

  • 3/4 Cup Greek Yogurt

  • 3/4 Cup Cucumber, Shredded or Diced, Liquid Squeezed Out

  • 1 Teaspoon Olive Oil

  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Dill Weed

  • 4 Cloves Garlic, Minced

  • 4 Gyro Wraps or Naan Bread

  • Preferred Veggies: Lettuce, Tomato, Red Pepper and Red Onion

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Add cubed salmon pieces to a large mixing bowl. Add in the Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning, Tony’s Seafood Marinade, fresh lemon juice, Greek yogurt, minced garlic cloves, garlic powder, smoked paprika and dill weed. Mix gently until evenly distributed.
  2. Spray your air fryer basket with nonstick spray, then add your seasoned salmon.
  3. Cook at 360°F for 8 minutes. Flip the salmon over, then cook for another 8 minutes. If you would like your salmon to have a little more char/color, raise the heat to 400°F and cook an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. To make the Tzatziki sauce, combine Tony’s BOLD Seasoning, feta cheese, 3/4 cup Greek yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, dill weed and 4 cloves garlic. Mix well.
  5. Assemble the gyros by laying out the wraps and adding the sauce, preferred veggie toppings and salmon. Enjoy!
