Tony’s Lamb Beans and Rice

This lamb, beans, and rice recipe by @ChefBradleyBayou is cozy, hearty, and full of down-home flavor. It’s an easy meal made for Sunday supper or anytime you want something warm and filled with bold Creole flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Tony Chachere’s Red Beans & Rice Dinner Mix

  • 3 3/4 cups cool water

  • 1/3 cup Tony Chachere’s 30-Minute Wild Game Marinade

  • Tony Chachere’s Bold Seasoning

  • Tony Chachere’s Pepper Sauce

  • 1/4 to 1/4 lb of raw lamb shoulder, diced

  • 1/4 to 1/2 lb ham steak, diced

  • 1 bunch of green onions or chives (optional)

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Marinate lamb and ham in Tony’s Wild Game Marinade in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Once meats have marinated, sear in a deep medium-sized sauce pot until slightly browned while stirring occasionally (5 minutes or so)
  3. Add cool water and Tony’s Red Beans & Rice Mix. Mix ingredients well and bring to a boil, following instructions on the box.
  4. Plate with a sprinkle of Tony’s Bold Seasoning, Tony’s Hot Pepper Sauce, and green onions over top. ENJOY!
