Crawfish Boil

It’s crawfish season and there’s no easier way to celebrate than with an at-home crawfish boil! This recipe by Creole For The Soul is super simple and full of Creole, garlic and citrus flavors. Feel free to add in some Cajun smoked sausage for a more smokey flavor.

Ingredients

  • 10 Pounds Crawfish, Washed

  • 6 Lemons

  • 2 Heads Garlic

  • 2 Cups Tony’s Supreme Creole Crab Boil

  • 2 Gallons Water

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Combine the Tony’s Creole Supreme Crab Boil with the water in a large stock pot over high heat.
  2. Slice lemons in half, squeeze out juice into pot and then drop in the lemon halves as well.
  3. Peel off the outer layer of garlic and drop into pot, and then cover pot with a lid.
  4. Once water is boiling for 5 minutes, add in the crawfish and stir. Cover pot again with the lid.
  5. When the water rises back up to a boil, let it boil for 3 minutes and then turn off the heat.
  6. Move the pot to a cool burner and allow to sit and soak for 20 minutes.
  7. After 20 minutes, taste and add more seasoning if desired.
  8. Remove crawfish from pot with a slotted spoon onto a tray or table and enjoy!
