Smokey Baked Wings

Ingredients

  • 2lbs whole chicken wings

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 4 cloves of garlic minced

  • Tony Chachere’s No Salt Seasoning

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp water

  • For garnish: 

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • toasted sesame seeds

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
    In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, Tony Chachere’s, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
    Add the chicken wings to a ziplock bag and pour in marinade. Massage wings into the marinade to make sure they’re well-coated Make sure they’re all well-coated. Place it in the refrigerator and let it marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
    Bake the wings in the oven for 40-45 minutes. Turn them halfway through baking to ensure they’re crispy and golden brown on all sides.
    While the wings are baking, add the remaining marinade to a small pot. Bring to a boil then down to a simmer. Mix cornstarch and water together and stir into sauce until it thickens. Turn heat down to low while wings cook.
    Once fully cooked, take the wings out and allow to rest for a few minutes.
    Coat wings with the sauce, garnish with chopped parsley and sesame seeds.
