Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Oil

  • 1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour

  • 1 Onion, Chopped

  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced

  • 1 Bell Pepper, Chopped

  • 2 Ribs Celery, Chopped

  • 14 Ounces Stewed Tomatoes

  • 15 Ounces Corn, Cream-style

  • 16 Ounces Frozen Corn

  • 1 Gallon water

  • Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning, to Taste

  • 2 Pounds Shrimp, Peeled and Deveined

  • Clear

Directions

  1. In a large pot, make a light roux by stirring oil into flour over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, bell pepper and celery.
  3. Cook for about 5 minutes, until vegetables are softened.
  4. Add tomatoes, cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add corn, water and seasoning.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.
  7. Add shrimp and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes.
