Jalapeño Popper Fried Mac N Cheese Balls

Ingredients

  • 4 Jalapeños

  • 1 Pound Bacon

  • 1 Pound Sausage

  • 1 Block Cream Cheese

  • 4 Cups Cheddar Cheese

  • 24 Ounces Large Elbow Macaroni Noodles

  • 5 Cups Milk

  • 5 Tablespoons Flour

  • Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning, to Taste

  • 3 Eggs, Beaten

  • 2 Cups Flour (for Coating Macaroni Balls)

  • 1 Box Ritz Crackers

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Boil water for macaroni.
  2. Preheat skillet to medium-high heat.
  3. Gut and dice jalapeños. Dice bacon and sausage.
  4. Add diced jalapeños, sausage and bacon to skillet.
  5. Once water is boiling, cook macaroni noodles.
  6. Once bacon, sausage and jalapeños are cooked, reduce heat to medium and add flour 1 tablespoon at a time and whisk.
  7. Once flour is browned whisk in milk. Simmer and whisk until thick.
  8. Drain noodles once finished.
  9. Add cheeses to skillet and melt.
  10. Add pasta to cheese mixture and season to taste with Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning.
  11. Let macaroni cool.
  12. Once cooled, form macaroni into balls.
  13. Coat macaroni balls in flour, dredge in eggs, then coat in crushed up Ritz Crackers.
  14. Fry until golden brown.
