Juicy shrimp is marinated in Tony Chachere’s Seafood Marinade, grilled, then served over fresh veggies and crispy jambalaya rice. Finished with a creamy homemade Creole dressing, this easy shrimp salad recipe is full of bold Louisiana flavor and perfect for weeknight dinners or backyard BBQs.

Ingredients

  • For the Shrimp:

  • 2 lbs peeled and deveined shrimp

  • 1 bottle Tony Chachere’s 30-Minute Seafood Marinade

  • 1 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning

  • For the Rice: 

  • 1 box Tony Chachere’s Jambalaya Rice Dinner Mix, cooked and cooled

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

  • For the Salad: 

  • 2 cups chopped romaine hearts

  • 1/2 cup grilled corn on the cob

  • 1/4 cup diced green onions

  • 1 cup diced cucumbers

  • For the Dressing: 

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, or sour cream

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup buttermilk, or whole milk

  • 1 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

  • 2 green onions

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Marinate shrimp in Tony Chachere’s 30-Minute Seafood Marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  3. While the shrimp are marinating, toss cooked and cooled rice with avocado oil and place onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Cook for 25-30 minutes until rice is crispy. Set Aside.
  5. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Remove shrimp from the marinade and toss with Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning, and then skewer the shrimp.
  7. Add shrimp to the hot grill and grill for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are cooked through.
  8. Make dressing by combining all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
  9. Assemble salad by adding romaine lettuce, corn, green onions, cucumbers, crispy rice, and grilled shrimp. Top with the desired amount of dressing and serve!
