Bacon Wrapped Chili Cheese Dogs

These Bacon wrapped Chili Cheese Dogs by @Firehousegrub are a delicious and easy meal that everyone will love. With the addition of Tony Chachere’s Mild Chili Seasoning Mix, this meal gets the perfect punch of heat.


  • 8 pack all beef hot dogs

  • 12oz pack of bacon

  • 2lbs ground beef

  • 8 pack of hot dog buns

  • 12oz can of tomato sauce

  • 1 white onion diced

  • 1 jalapeno sliced

  • 2lbs shredded cheddar cheese

  • Tony Chachere’s Chili Mix

  • Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning

  • Clear


  1. Start off by browning hamburger meat. Once it it browned add 1/2 of your diced white onion and cook for 5 more minutes. Drain off fat.
  2. Follow instructions on the back of the Tony Chachere’s chili mix and add in your seasoning, tomato sauce, and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer.
  3. While your chili is simmering, preheat your grill to 325-350 degrees F.
  4. Wrap your hot dogs in one slice of bacon.
  5. Grill hot dogs until bacon is done on all sides (about 15-20 minutes).
  6. Next, grill or toast your buns.
  7. Assemble chili dogs with hot dogs first, chili, and cheese. Garnish with diced white onion and sliced jalapeños if desired.
