Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • ½ onion, chopped

  • 4-5 minced garlic cloves

  • 2-3 minced jalapeños

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1 package of wonton wrappers

  • 1 box Tony’s Original Chili Seasoning Mix

  • Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning, to taste

  • 1 egg,  beaten

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

  • Fry oil

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Sauté onions in olive oil over medium heat until softened. Stir in garlic and let cook for one minute.
  2. Add in ground beef and sauté in the vegetables until fully cooked. Use your cooking utensil to break down ground beef while it cooks so there are no large chunks of beef. Drain oil from skillet.
  3. Stir in Tony’s Original Chili Seasoning Mix until the meat and vegetables are fully coated.
  4. Add in jalapeños and sauté until softened. Season to taste with Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning.
  5. Turn off heat and stir in cream cheese until melted and meat mix is fully coated.
  6. Dip finger in egg and coat the edges of a wonton wrapper on all sides. Add a teaspoon or so of the meat mix to the center of the wonton. Fold one corner of the wrapper to meet the opposite corner to make a triangle. Press the sides of the triangle to seal. Continue until you’ve created your desired amount of wontons.
  7. Fry wontons in batches of no more than 5 over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove from oil immediately once browned.
