Ingredients

  • For the Carne Asada:

  • 2 lbs flank or skirt steak

  • 1 cup Tony Chachere’s Steakhouse Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

  • 2 tablespoons orange juice

  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano

  • For Topping: 

  • freshly diced onion

  • fresh cilantro

  • freshly diced jalapeño

  • lime juice

  • avocado

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Add steak to a large plastic bag or deep dish along with Tony Chachere’s Steakhouse marinade, lime juice, orange juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, and oregano and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, but up to 2 hours.
  2. Remove steak from the marinade.
  3. Heat a grill, flat top, or skillet over high heat and cook steak on each side for 4-5 minutes or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove from the grill and let sit for at least 5 minutes before dicing.
  5. Char tortillas on the grill, in a skillet, or over an open flame on the stove.
  6. Add diced steak along with desired toppings and serve immediately.
