These bold, flavor-bursting wonton cups are a must have for any party! Filled with Cajun-inspired cream cheese, topped with a sausage slice, and then drizzled in a tangy, sweet and savory sauce, these cups by Joyous Apron are absolutely irresistible.

Kitchen Tip : Creole Cream Cheese Wonton Cups

Ingredients

  • 8 Ounces Cream Cheese, Softened

  • 3 Tablespoons Sour Cream

  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Tony’s Lite Creole Seasoning (Can Substitute with Tony’s No Salt Seasoning)

  • 1/4 Cup Spring Onions, Chopped, Plus More for Garnish

  • 2 Tablespoons Red Onions, Minced

  • 24 Wonton Wrappers

  • 6 Ounces Sausage, Cooked

  • 1/2 Cup Tony’s Creole-Style French Salad Dressing

  • 1/4 Teaspoon Tony’s Lite Creole Seasoning (Can Substitute with Tony’s No Salt Seasoning)

  • 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice

  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar

  • Clear

Directions

  1.  Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, Tony’s Lite Creole Seasoning, spring onions, and red onions. Mix well to combine.
  3. Grease muffin tin.
  4. Put two pieces of wonton wrappers into each muffin cup, pressing to form a cup shape.
  5. Add about 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture to each muffin cup.
  6. Slice sausage and place a slice on top of the cream cheese mixture in each cup.
  7. Bake for 9-10 minutes and remove from oven.
  8. To make the sauce, whisk together Tony’s Creole-Style French Dressing, Tony’s Lite Creole Seasoning, lime juice, and sugar.
  9. Drizzle the sauce over the top of each cup and then garnish with more green onions.
  10. Serve the rest of the sauce on the side as a dip. Enjoy!

NOTE:

You can substitute Tony’s No Salt Creole Seasoning for the Lite Creole Seasoning if you wish.
