Tony Chachere’s “Visitors’ Center” Features Historical Films, Products and Merchandise
Opelousas, LA – Welcome to the new Mr. Tony’s Country Store … the one-stop shop for all your Tony’s favorites! As part of Tony Chachere’s® Famous Creole Cuisine’s 50th Anniversary, the company is excited to announce the Grand Opening of its first-ever Country Store, featuring an array of Tony’s seasonings, marinades, dinner mixes, merchandise, gifts and so much more.
Mr. Tony’s Country Store will hold its Grand Opening celebration on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., to include a ribbon cutting with state and local dignitaries, and appearances by The New Orleans Saints’ own Devery Henderson, who was with the team from 2004-2012, and was part of the Super Bowl XLIV Championship team and a 2022 Hall of Fame Inductee, as well as The Saints Cheerleaders.
The store is similar to a visitors’ center for Tony’s fans. At Mr. Tony’s Country Store visitors will not only be able to buy Tony’s products, but they can also get a look inside the Tony’s plant to see how the seasonings are produced and watch historical films about Tony Chachere himself and the history of the company. Guests will also find lagniappe – a Cajun word meaning “a little something extra” – from other Louisiana merchants.
“We are bringing a part of our family to yours through our new Mr. Tony’s Country Store,” said Celeste Chachere, Director of Marketing & PR for Tony Chachere’s. “We want people to get to know Tony Chachere and learn how our family’s company started, while also getting a chance to see how we pour our hearts and souls into every product we make.”
As part of the Grand Opening, Tony’s will be collecting non-perishable food donations for the Holiday Food Drive for The United Way of St. Landry-Evangeline. Donations will be accepted Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at Mr. Tony’s Country Store.
Mr. Tony’s Country Store is located right outside Tony Chachere’s manufacturing plant at 5604 I-49 N. Service Road in Opelousas, Louisiana. Regular store hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with production viewings Monday-Thursday.
