Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks

  • 1 bottle Tony Chachere’s Honey Bacon & BBQ Injectable Marinade

  • 4 Tbsp BBQ rub

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

  • 2 Tbsp hot honey

  • 2 Tbsp bacon crumbles

  • Clear

Directions

  1. Butterfly drumsticks by cutting along the bone on each side.
  2. Place in a food-safe container and pour the marinade over the chicken. Massage into meat, then cover and place in the fridge for 1 hr.
  3. Get your coals ready for indirect cooking and add in cherry wood for smoking.
  4. Place the drums on the opposite side of the coals and smoke for about 30 minutes at 400°F.
  5. Move the chicken over the coals to build a nice char, and then place it back opposite to the coals.
  6. Brush over BBQ sauce on both sides and cover for 5-10 min to tack up.
  7. Drizzle hot honey and bacon crumbles and enjoy.
