Tony’s Old Fashioned Creole Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Corn Meal

  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour

  • 1 Cup Sour Cream

  • 3 Tablespoons Baking Powder

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

  • 2 Whole Eggs

  • 1 Cup Creamed Corn

  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt

  • 1/2 Cup Bacon Drippings

  • 1 Cup Milk

  • Clear

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together, except milk. Stir until well blended.
  2. Add enough milk to make the mixture pour easily.
  3. Spoon into greased muffin tins or baking pan.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.
