Fall is here and so is football. Whether you love highschool football, college football, or the NFL - everyone loves to tailgate! And we here at Tony Chachere’s are no different. This year we have decided to join in on the fun and take our very first Tailgate Tour on the road, bringing great tasting food and Southern Hospitality to every tailgate we visit! Because it is our first tour, we are starting small with just a few SEC and Big 12 schools..but don’t worry; if we don’t stop at your school this year we will be there for one of our future tours!
Our first stop this season was in Gainesville, Florida for the Tennessee v. Florida matchup. What a great kickoff to the tour! We had a great time introducing so many wonderful people to our products. We served Tony Chachere’s Jambalaya, Roasted Garlic & Herb Injectable Marinade injected pork loin, and shrimp fried in Tony Chachere’s Seasoned Fish Fry. We handed out the “purse-sized” 3.25 oz. cans of our Original Seasoning and even had a few tshirts to give to the fans out in Florida who were already loyal users of our products!
The next stop on the Tailgate Tour was close to home, just down the road in Baton Rouge, LA. An iconic matchup: Florida v. LSU. We were amazed at how many fans of both teams showed up in the pouring rain and knee-deep mud to tailgate and show support for their respective teams! This was a crowd full of Tony Chachere’s Fans, most of which were raised never having to know life without the green can. We enjoyed handing out our new can-eriffic coozies and hearing all of the stories about how much everyone loves and uses all of our products. Two weeks later, our second tailgate stop in Baton Rouge was just as much fun (without the rain and mud) for the Auburn v. LSU game.
Most recently, we headed north to Grambling State’s Homecoming game against Mississippi Valley and enjoyed a laid-back, fun-and-food-filled afternoon with our friends in north Louisiana…Next stop: Mississippi State/Alabama (Starkville, AL) on Nov. 14th – stay tuned for details!
We still have several dates ahead of us and we are looking forward to all of them! Check the Tailgate Tour Schedule to see if we are coming to your school, or maybe even your favorite NFL team! But don’t be discouraged if we don’t get to see you this year, we are already working on the schedule for next year and we’d love to see you next fall!
